Let Go!!

I’m obsessed with the moon and becoming more and more in tune with the lunar cycles. Tomorrow starts another circuit; tomorrow is the New Moon.

New Moons are auspicious — a symbol of new beginnings and a time to expand into your real self, the timeless one. Some believe the New Moon is a time to rest before the next cycle of life. This New Moon also happens to be guiding us into the Fall Equinox — the mark of autumn. Fall is the season aligned with death, dying, and decay — the dissolution of the old to make room for new life.

It’s poignant for me right now — death, decay, release. Let go!! This is my mantra. Let go of pointless and limiting beliefs. Let go of old worn out fears, and stories. Let go of the blueprint I’ve been carrying around and modifying for my life. Let go of fantasies.

As I enter into this cycle, I will celebrate. As I continue to shed what no longer serves me and sit in a liminal space of limitless possibilities, I feel exposed, raw, and vulnerable. However, I want it no other way. Wild, uninhibited, unconstrained, free. I am becoming. Every lunar cycle, I release more of what has been weighing me down. Every experience with every human who crosses my path shows me parts of myself that I either discover I love or am ready to release.

In the last lunar cycle, I started a podcast. I got more vulnerable with my writing. I had an ineffable, mystical experience, and I demonstrated a profound commitment to taking excellent care of my spiritual and emotional needs.

In the coming cycle, here are my intentions

  1. I will celebrate Courage Day (October 1) and will write about what it meant to me three years ago and what it means today.
  2. I will practice having a love affair with my highest Self and letting that be enough.
  3. I will embody love in every interaction I have.
  4. I will continue to let go! Let go of expectations, desire, limiting beliefs, of people who can’t show up for me, painful memories and regrets, and denial of my feelings and needs.

The New Moon represents hope. Anything is possible. Today, I am ready for a new beginning. I welcome the New Moon. May I successfully let go.
